She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University in 2007 and worked in the field for several years. She was employed by the Virginia State Police for 8 year and the Larimer County Justice Center in Colorado, before returning to Wyoming in 2009 when she decided to further her education and pursue a Master’s degree in counseling. She graduated from Walden University in May 2013 with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling.
Currently, Sarah is a licensed professional counselor in both Wyoming and Colorado. She specializes in working with individuals who struggle with trauma, utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Sarah has significant experience working with those involved in the criminal justice system and employs an integrative approach in her practice, believing that each person is unique and capable of self-empowerment with the right guidance.
Outside of her professional life, Sarah enjoys 4-wheeling in the mountains with her husband, snuggling with her puppies, repurposing old items into new treasures, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Being a part of Gillette for over 30 years, Renee has always been in service to the community in some form or another. Whether it was through the school district, various charities or activities, she has always been involved in “supporting others”.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University in 2020. She continued her studies, graduating from Grand Canyon University in May 2022 with a Master of Science in Addiction Studies. Renee is currently a provisionally licensed addictions therapist dedicated to helping her clients adapt to life’s stresses and cope with society. With an eclectic approach, her practice reflects her commitment to understanding everyone’s experience and empowering clients to navigate life's challenges, free of addiction.
She applies therapeutic modalities such as CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. She works collaboratively with her clients to develop a treatment plan that meets their unique needs and acknowledges their identities and resources. At the core of her work is her dedication to helping clients harness their inner strengths.
Renee firmly believes that everyone has the capacity for personal growth and transformation. Her practice is founded on the principles of empathy, trust, and authenticity. She creates a safe and nurturing environment, where clients feel comfortable sharing their deepest concerns and challenges. She has helped individuals move forward through difficult times and navigate presenting concerns that can contribute to addiction, such as experiences of ADHD, anxiety and depression to relationship issues.
Outside of work, Renee enjoys DIY, thrifting, and spending time with family.

With a Bachelor of Counseling from Grand Canyon University, Kayla is currently pursuing a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to further deepen her expertise.

Joan is a woman in long term recovery who has worked within the substance abuse treatment arena and mental health setting in one capacity or another over the past 20 years. Joan is a woman in long term recovery who has worked within the substance abuse treatment arena and mental health setting in one capacity or another over the past 20 years. Joan graduated from the University of South Dakota with her bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences-Addiction Counseling. Joan graduated from University of Kentucky with her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work with a trauma emphasis. Joan is currently licensed in the state of Iowa as LMSW as well as in South Dakota as a LCSW and a CAC (Certified Addiction Counselor), additionally she is licensed in the state of Wyoming as a PCSW and a CAP (Certified Addiction Professional).
Joan is currently enrolled in Concordia University, Wisconsin under the Animal Assisted Therapy program. Joan will complete this certification program in May 2025 and her dog, Taco, just passed his Canine Good Citizen test which is the next step to him becoming a registered therapy dog.
As a co-occurring therapist, Joan has worked with a number of diverse clienteles. Clientele ages ranges from adolescents 12+, professional career individuals to those who have been recently released from incarceration. Joan is committed to building valuable connections within the community in order to serve clients and their families for many years to come. Animal assisted therapy is just one of the many therapeutic interventions that Joan is passionate about. Additionally, Joan assists clients through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), client centered therapy, and motivational interviewing. Joan helps guide clients through many of life’s challenges and mental health struggles such as substance abuse, depression, anxiety, complicated grief, PTSD, bi-polar disorders, ADHD, OCD, borderline personality disorder as well as schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. Joan helps not only individuals but families and couples in therapy.
Although her professional life is very full, Joan and her husband find time to spend with their horses, dogs, children and grandchildren. Spending as much time outside enjoying the beauty that Wyoming has to offer. It’s amazing to vacation where you live!!!

Our team of experienced therapists uses a client-centered approach, working collaboratively with our clients to identify their goals and develop a customized treatment plan. We also place a strong emphasis on building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship.
