Licensed Professional Counselor in Wyoming & Colorado
Sarah Hayworth is a dedicated mental health therapist and long-time resident of Gillette, Wyoming, with a deep commitment to serving her local community. With a foundation in criminal justice and over a decade of counseling experience, Sarah brings both compassion and expertise to her work.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University in 2007 and spent several years working in law enforcement—including eight years with the Virginia State Police and time at the Larimer County Justice Center in Colorado. In 2009, she returned to Wyoming to pursue her passion for mental health and went on to earn a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in 2013.
Sarah is now a licensed professional counselor in both Wyoming and Colorado. She specializes in trauma-informed care, using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help individuals heal from past experiences and build healthier futures. Her work is especially impactful with individuals involved in or affected by the criminal justice system. Sarah takes an integrative, client-centered approach, believing that every person has the capacity for change, growth, and empowerment.
Outside of the Office
When she’s not working with clients, Sarah enjoys exploring the Wyoming outdoors with her husband on their 4-wheeler, snuggling with her pups, finding creative ways to repurpose old treasures, and spending time with her close friends and family.
